Stumptown Mattress

Working with Stumptown Mattress in 2017 was a dream. I provided them with social media consulting, as well as blogging, which are two things I’m always excited to work on. I collaborated closely with the owners, Michael and Mary Ruth Hanna, a husband and wife team who created Stumptown Mattress with the intention of offering a locally and sustainably made, online mattress. What made working with them so enjoyable was how focused their brand story and voice were, which are inspired by their affinity for the Pacific Northwest and the city of Portland. Their love of PNW culture is what we wanted to continue to highlight in their social media strategy and their blog.

For Stumptown Mattress’ social media, I consulted them on coming up with a comprehensive content strategy for what to post each week, how to write and structure their captions, use hashtags effectively, monitor their community engagement and even how to spice up their captions using emojis. Lastly, I provided tips to increase their engagement numbers. As a result, both their following and sales have increased and more importantly their brand identity on social media is more cohesive and accurately represents their unique product.
